Franck Muller and Sporting Clube de Portugal have joined forces for the second time to celebrate the club’s achievements with the presentation of the Vanguard™ Sporting CP National Champion 2023-2024. This new limited edition honors Sporting CP’s victorious national championship season and strengthens an 18-year partnership between Franck Muller and the Lisbon-based football club
The history between Franck Muller and Sporting CP dates back to 2005, when the Long Island Sporting CP 100 was launched to mark the club’s Centenary. Since then, Franck Muller has created special editions to commemorate the club's milestones, including the Vanguard™ Sporting Clube de Portugal 111 for its 111th anniversary and the Cintrée Curvex™ Sporting CP Remember 115 for its 115th anniversary in 2021.
This year, the Vanguard™ case was selected for its dynamic design, perfectly reflecting the sporting essence of the club. The Vanguard™ Sporting CP National Champion 2023-2024 features the distinctive curved case of a Franck Muller timepiece, complemented by an integrated nylon strap to enhance its sleek appearance. One of the most striking elements of this limited edition is its illuminated case and dial, achieved through a cutting-edge forged carbon process using LumiNova® pigments, which glow in the dark.
Sporting CP’s iconic green is proudly displayed on the dial and stitching of the strap, paying tribute to the club. The number 24 is highlighted at 12 o’clock, symbolizing Sporting CP’s 24th national championship title in the 2023-2024 season.
To unveil this unique limited edition, Mr. Nicholas Rudaz, CEO of Franck Muller, made a special trip to Lisbon, where the event took place at the Sporting CP stadium, alongside the club's president, Mr. Frederico Varandas.
